Yesterday morning I received this letter from Southern Water, who are obviously pursuing a policy most politely described as “billing the dead”; or as most normal human beings would consider it “picking over the corpse”.I always think it is a good idea for people to see exactly how these utility companies really care about their customers when the PR team aren’t involved or they arent being watched. So here is the letter in full, with identifying details left out, and my reply is below.
